Yes, because it’s a failsafe if I do something wrong with CFW. It’s brilliant at blocking unsafe files and exploited lolbins etc.and I have a lifetime licence.
They work along side each other just fine though if I decide to run something in containment, Firefox for example, I get a CL exploit pop-up but it’s simple enough to allow but I’ve not had a in the wild example if it would show the same for a unknown file.
Anyway, they run fine together no issue really Total overkill as both default denying unknown files but in the case of CFW, it has to be vetted by Comodo before it’s allowed. Usual setup is CFW, CL and MD sometimes tweaked with DefenderUI though DUI not really needed.
OSArmor might be find though I’ve not tested it. You could go down the Hard_Configurator route to lock down windows using policies and doesn’t require additional software running. The FirewallHardening that is included with H_C will add block rules for LOLBins in Windows Firewall and still work as WF is still enabled along side CIS/CFW/ Whatever the case, I think if you have CIS/CFW installed first then OSArmor should whitelist Comodo files.
No problem H_C is best with just Recommended settings so if you wanted to change anything, read the help messages and manual for. There are lighter versions called Windows Hybrid Hardening and Simple Windows Hardening for those who know less of what your doing. H_C implements running by smartscreen so you’ll need to right click any new executable and “run by smartscreen” which means it will be checked with Microsoft SmartScreen in the cloud before allowing to run. The manual and the Help buttons explains it all.
Hello, from what I’m seeing here on mine, there was indeed an update today, but the web filter database has not yet been updated, which is still frozen at the number below.
Dear C.O.M.O.D.O_RT. I welcome you.I’ve had this for about five days with updating AV databases, now (today) everything is fine, there are no problems. I don’t understand what was the matter. Thank you for participating!!!
I had a similar problem with Imperva. It kept infiltrating and blocking my access to my provider’s website. I couldn’t read any emails. I searched for this “great” software and added the location to protected objects. Since then, I’ve had peace of mind. I set CIS/FW to “custom policies.” Perhaps it wouldn’t have happened if I had been in Proactive Security mode.
I couldn’t find any addresses I could block. I couldn’t find any addresses I could block or any software I could mark as malicious or unknown.
