Hi PhobosMod,

Welcome to the forums!

No CIS in every version does not contain a spamblocker.

Comodo has anti-spam software but it's discontinued So if you really need a local spam filtering software you need to find an other program, I currently don't run one so I can't be of much advise in alternatives, sorry.

Well technically a port-scan is not an 'attack' more like reconnaissance, but in default install CIS blocks the icmp ping check most of them run before starting a blind scan. And then if your behind a router, it won't hit your PC directly they'll be scanning the routers external interface instead.

Default setup will alert you to incoming connections, so if someone was port scanning you you should be seeing incoming alerts, which you then could block or time-out (=block).

If you don’t want alerts and don’t have other devices on your network you could use the ‘Stealth ports wizard’ and select block all incoming traffic.
Beware that file&printer sharing or e.g. Torrent applications might need incoming ports to be open and thus could become broken from this option, you need to manually open the required ports.
