192.168.0.255 is not an Internet IP, it’s a Local IP (LAN) & the 255 bit indicates that it’s a “broadcast”. Given the ports (137 & 138) and the protocol (UDP), it’s probably something like MS NameService (Windows file-sharing).
If you need it depends on if you have a LAN (multiple PCs) or not. If you do, you probably need it. Since CFP keeps prompting for this indicates that CFP is not fully aware of your LAN’s components (assuming you have one).
thanks i have a ps3 and xbox360 whihc i stream to uisng windows media player as the server. so would this be ok to use as trusted app or should i set some sort of rules ?
Q1 thanks i just looked at them booth and the firewall seems to have them both set to ALLOW, UDP and OUT so this is right ?
Q2 also is it normal for comodo V3 firewall to have three red arrows down all the time in the system tray icon seems to display 3 of them all the time when doing nothing but when i access the net it will display 4 red arrows and once the page has been displayed it will go back to 3 red arrows just thought it would not display them at all ?
Q3 is nod32 V3 anygood with this firewall as i only use version 2.7 with it at the moment is it worth upgrading to V3 as i have herd many bad things about a open port for V3
well i wouldent use NOD32 try and give Avira Antivir a go it got 98.6% of all know viruses and is #1 atm or you could try Avast Home a great freeware antivirus.
Q1: Yes.
Q2: It’s fine.
Q3: NOD32 is fine for an Antivirus, if you subscribed to it recently, keep it with the latest updates. Otherwise, Avast! Home Edition or Avira Antivirus Personal are the 2 top fee AV’s.
i dont mind paying for a virus killer if i get the best i was looking into upgrading to nod32V3 but herd it leaves some sort of port open for it to operate.
i was looking looking in to others but dont know what to do as i still have nod32 V 2.7 on my system
