Surprised I had not noticed and postings here in the forum yet ? I first read about the latest Java vulnerabilities several weeks ago.
Found this link in a Kim Komando News letter this morning and thought a few might find it of interest and importance. Oracle’s regular update for Java is not supposed to be out till Oct.

Oracle Corp repaired bugs in its widely used Java software on Thursday, several days after several computer security experts found flaws that they said opened PCs to attacks by hackers.
Thanks for the heads up. Uninstalled the old version then downloaded and installed the new version.
