I agree there is more that meets the eye than what I described. IE is too tightly bound to the OS in more than one way. Giving the browser access at a deep level is a huge mistake in architecture. But lets not get further off topic as far as I am concerned.
Preemptive techniques are a necessity and I embrace that concept. (:NRD)
