But YES ... once COMODO has a stable "BOClean" to hand out for those who can use it, MY obligations to the future are in development, research and development. There are *SO* many projects I started based on the viability of BOClean's "memory scan design" which have never been developed owing to have to "do malware research" every day that kept any of these solutions from being put into code ... NOW I finally *have* that opportunity once I don't have to do malware or code anymore. "Integrating BOClean into COMODOland" isn't so difficult but it HAS been time consuming. Once 4.24 is done, I'm past all that and can do what I was brought here TO do. Me LIKE that! Heh.

Sounds very exciting indeed.
Kevin McAleavey rides.
Maybe NMcA will make a return now the paradigm is to shift ??
It’s been released to those who answered Kevin’s call for “final beta” testing.
Looks like if things go well we may see it released for the public use tomorrow.
I just don’t see any point Melih or Kevin ever predicting a date for release and they should resist any clamour in the forums; just look at the Firewall v3 Beta release first promised for April, then twice in May, then June 7th (don’t anyone hold their breath). BoClean v4.24 will be out as and when we get a download button before it!
Well … in all fairness … COMODO has a particular interest in getting things RIGHT and were it not for the complete and utter mess VISTA is, I’m sure the world would have been in a new phase months ago. Alas, from my OWN experience, Microsoft LIED. I’ve SEEN what the 3 version of the firewall is and it’s the FIRST firewall I would trust on a philosophical basis of my OWN experience. And the BOClean delay is for similar reasons. Had people NOT bought Vista and used semi-working WINDOWS, perhaps we would all have beaten our deadlines. However, unlike OTHER “vendors” Melih doesn’t want us releasing garbage … and “lessons have been learned” as a result of jumping the gun. Sadly, Vista is just THAT phucked up and because it’s tripped up many OTHER vendors, last thing WE want to do is get trapped up in the messes of others. And sorting out WHICH vendor did what to mess things up only adds to the “drama” of what we’re ALL going through.
I know Egemen and Umesh and others in the middle of it all just as myself. We all KNOW where the problems are and in order for them to NOT splash on OUR shoes … takes a lot more work than any of us had planned. We can fix OUR problems, but it’s darned difficult to fix the problems of others.
I’m trying DESPERATELY to get BOClean 4.24 done before the weekend, but I’d MUCH rather slip it one more week than to release something that might still break under unusual conditions. HERE, I think we should all step back and grant Melih and the rest of the folks here a bit of slack in being willing to say, “ack … OK … let’s get it right” other than rushing to market like Vista when it wasn’t even half raised bread much less cooked and safe to eat yet … just MY opinion.
Back when Nancy and I ran BOClean, we had the liberty of NOT saying a new version was about to be released UNTIL it was actually ready … here in the world of FREE, no such luxuries, and it just ain’t right.
