I have two computers network just through normal RJ-45 crossover cable, no router and i am having issues with the firewall on the computer that is connected to the modem. I have setup the rules correctly on it but sometimes when i use the laptop (not connected to modem) the internet cuts out (just the internet, msn and everything work) and i look under the log on the modems pc’s firewall and it says there was application problem with svchost.exe and that was why it blocked the internet. But i have no idea how to allow it, any help would be great.
