A GUI very similar to CMF, which is solely used for importing, exporting, uploading, downloading and tweaking ‘Network/Computer Security Policy’ Rules.
Security; importing and exporting is only possible if you are logged in to an Administrator account, and have the correct password of the target Firewall.
I like your idea, but I believe it should be part of Comodo Firewall Pro and CIS (firewall section), and not a stand-alone application. Or they could, as a matter of a fact, create what you mention as an add-on/plugin for the users who wish to make use of such features, such as, blocking IPs (single and ranges), hostnames, etc, etc
I just hope it will become part of CFP and CIS quite soon. I maintain a list of blocked IPs and to add them 1 by 1 is just insane. Not to mention when, for some reason, there is the need to format the machine or to make a fresh install of CFP…

That could work I suppose. I was thinking about the ‘too bloated’ idea, which many Security Suites have been guilty of in the past; big and slow. I was also thinking of those who aren’t too interested in Managing their ‘Network/Computer Security Policy’ Rules. Hence, a separate interface.
I would just like to be able to Select a bunch of…
Network/Computer Security Policy ‘Application Rules’ AND/OR ‘Global Rules’
Predefined Firewall Policies
Predefined Security Policies
My Port Sets
… And Export them to a ‘rules1.zip’ file. Stick them on a Flash Drive, walk over to another machine, stick the Flash Drive in, then select from the individual ‘Rules and/or sets of Rules’ to Import.
I wouldn’t just restrict this to the ‘Firewall Section’ (Network Security Policy), I would also like to see it applied in the ‘Defense+ Section’ (Computer Security Policy) too. It would just save soooo’ much time; especially if there are more than Two machines!
(I don’t really use the ‘Defense+ Section’ much, though I’m sure their are many who do.)
I do admit the fact that this would be useless (unless used as another ‘Backup Solution’) for people who manage just one PC (one copy of CIS/CFP).
I agree with you… now we just have to wait and see if Comodo guys will do it or not. I hope they will…
