i installed comodo security suite a few days a ago. when i try to update manually by goin to miscellaneous and pressing check for updates i get the error:
Error 108" Update could not be completed.Please Check your internet connection settings
as well as when i try to update virus database… it just goes upto 30% and stops…
but automatic update goes go.
can u tell me the solution wat should i do? help me plz!

Please provide more information about your system
What OS you are running, what platform (x86 or x64),
Other security, if any, etc.
What version of CIS is installed
Then please use Search with keywords “Error 108” (no quotes) and you will find a lot of discussions starting from v2 of Firewall from 2006 :o
Many are marked as [solved] / [resolved]
Sure look at more recent ones depending on your version of CIS and OS
Please tell whether some of those discussions and solutions helped.

i installed kaspersky antivirus 2010 instead of taking the antivirus of Comodo
CIS Version is 3.864739.471
1) “platform i think x64” is not the answer
How could you not be certain when the installers are different for the respective platforms :o
Below is one of the methods you can use in order to get that info
Keep in mind that the “Help and Support” Service should be Enabled (at least temporarily)
- Start > Run
- Type msinfo32.exe > press Enter
In “System Information”, review the value for the System Type item:
- For 32-bit editions of Windows, the value of the System Type item is x86-based PC.
- For 64-bit editions of Windows, the value of the System Type item is x64-based PC.
2) I can understand that you chose different Antivirus…
…but is there particular reason you are still using the older version of the Firewall (v3.8 ) when the current version is 3.12.111745.560 ???
3) most importantly, are you saying that the problem with “Error 108” is gone now or that is still an issue?
