Need for a Neater Interface...

I wish Comodo Firewall learn what to implement from its best competitors…

Although it’s been discontinued (vaguely alive) Kerio Personal Firewall is unbeatable in ease of use for both novice and elite users. Yes it’s not the “best” updated firewall but its interface is simply the “best” among all others including Comodo. Also KPF is clever in training mode compared to stupid Comodo trainer. KPF adjusts complex port #'s and etc. on the popup yet Comodo simply ask “allow or block” the connection leaving the rest of port definition and etc. to the user thorough its popup-click-hell interface. What I can do in KPF in simple 5 clicks can be done by Comodo in 10+ clicks. This really is cumbersome for elite users who wish to define every single port on their own (Comodo even recognizes less “named ports” than KPF)…

I must admit despite its unergonomic (but organized) interface, Comodo seems to do a much better job than KPF does. But I must ask, since I’m not novice to let any program do anything it wants and I don’t have patience to click endless popups of Comodo, what choice do I have? Comodo simply says if you try “admin” rather than “use(r)” the firewall, you have to suffer the consequences…

I hope some admin there reads these and simply trys KPF (reowned by Sunbelt) just to see what the hell I’m talking about. And if the admin happens to be one of the UI designers of Comodo, he’ll simply understand the need for simplicity yet might think not to admit the defeat for a neat/easier interface…

In short what I wish for is to “define complex rules” when a program tries to access Internet. Not first “allow” THEN trying to define rules after many more clicks through its interface…

Anyway congrats for such good program…
