could you not just have in the network control rules the following ID, Permission,Protocol, Rule Name, source, destination, criteria. This way each rule is easy to find especially if you have quite a few. At the moment I am upto 30

No, at present there is no general way to name individual Network Monitor rules. The only thing that can be named is a Zone (security/tasks). This is, however, in the WishList, as there’s at least one other firewall out there that allows this, and users like it.
