I am running cfp v3.0.22.349 on XP sp2. When I submit pending files to Comodo for analysis, (I have 6 files in the list) a window opens titled, Submitting to comodo for analysis, please wait. This is followed by Preparing to send, It appears to send the first 2, then closes. A month later, the same files are still there-- nothing seems to have happened. It appears to me that nothing has happened.
My friend has exactly the same installation with exactly the same problem.
Please does anyone have a solution or a reason for this?
Pending files are submitted so Comodo can increase the whilelist of the firewall also. If you know what the files are no reason to submit them. If your pc is clean no reason to submit them. Just put D+ in safe mode and be done with pending files.
Thanks for that speedy reply. However one of the files is C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.VC80.OpenMP_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.762_x-ww_6c18549a\vcomp.dll
I havent a clue what this is or if it is harmful or not. Do you know?
My D+ is already in safe mode but it still accumulates files in My pending Fileswhich I purge and lookup & try to submit regularly.
My question is, what should I do with the ones which remain?
Move to my safe files? (I am not sure if they are safe)
Remove?
Submit? (I am not convinced that this is working)
I need to do something or I will end up with hundreds of these files eventually.
Just purge them and remove the rest. Then switch D+ to safe mode. You can upload the file here to see if its safe which I am sure it is.
