My PC freezes after installing the virus defintions

Hi,

I have been using Comodo with Antivirus about a year, but today after the virus defintions had been refreshed, my PC freezes!!! ( Windows XP 32 bit)

I habe reinstalled the virus modeule and it works normally.

After a second trial, the virus defintions refresh, reboot and freezing again.

What has happened???

You’re not the only one.
Many ppl are suffering with CAV since last 2 months. Every update (both DB and engine) promises a lot, but…
See, other 200000 ppl are waiting for a real solution from Comodo, wich lasts long, instead going to another AV provider. But not too long…
Seems that using the full version is like installing Ubuntu on a old machine with ATI… a question of 1 billion trial-and-error sugestions to make it work for a week or so… until ‘next’ update.

Your options at this point are to either disable or uninstall the AV. It’s broken.

So your system isn’t without AV, the free versions of Avast! or Avira work very well with the firewall and D+ from CIS.

Remove your whole COMODO internet security then download it again from download.com trust me this update problem will fix by the new vertion that is on download.com just click here after you uninstall your comodo internet security

Sorry to rain on your parade, but version 3.13.126709.581 has problems as well.

Doesn’t it just break your heart though, so close yet so far away, they were onto something, back to V3.13.xxxxxx.581 Firewall & D+ only with Avira personal for me for at least the next 4 months minimum…

Yes, it does break my heart. So much potential, so little attention to detail.

I would rather run the whole suite, but sadly they’ve left me no choice. It’s either wait 15-20 to be able to use my computer after startup, or go with another provider. You wouldn’t believe how many times I’ve uninstalled/resinstalled CIS over the last couple of weeks to try different troubleshooting theories. At this point, I’m not sure I’ll even want to reinstall the AV again after they “fix” it this time. Which upcoming update will break it again? :-\

So that is why they didn’t replace it by the previous vertion :-\

Yes. Just look at all the recent posts about CIS maxing out people’s CPU.

Seems that they are only focused on v4, wich is only BETA…
Seems that they are wanting to be proud only on the future…
Seems that they forget present…
Seems that many users will think much more about…

Ohh, that hurts so badly :-\ I recomend Karniaris to download Immunet protect to help COMODO protect his computer until the problem has solve

I chose this program because it can work with any antivirus so you don’t have to remove COMODO’s antivirus :o
