Old Topic:“Exclude”, “Zones” or “IP address mask” Bug. (x32 3.0.25.378)

I change the “Source Address” settings (Any->Zone/Exclude), after I get “blocked” log.

“Allow Incoming Listen Ports” Settings
Action:Allow
Protocol:TCP or UDP
Direction:In
Source:Zone"Private IP Address"/Exclude Port:Any
Destination:Any Port:(Listen Ports)

“Block Incoming TCP or UDP Requests” Settings
Action:Block
Protocol:TCP or UDP
Direction:In
Source:Any Port:Any
Destination:Any Port:Any

“Firewall logs”
Action:Blocked
Source:(non Private IP Address) Port:(not related)
Destination:(Local IP) Port:(Listen Ports)

I wouldn’t say it’s a bug. First of all you don’t log your allow rule so we can’t see if it’s working correctly. Rules are processed from top to bottom, so the first rule may allow traffic and the third rule will block it. Secondly there is a known bug where firewall rules changes as well as network zones changes might not be applied.

some uncorrect.

Example:Web browser (sort:from top to bottom)

1.Allow Outgoing HTTP Requests
Action:Allow
Protocol:TCP
Direction:Out
Source:Any Port:Any
Destination:Any Port:Http Ports(80,433)

2.Block and Log All Unmatching Requests
Action:Block
Protocol:IP
Direction:In/Out
Source:Any
Destination:Any
IP Details:Any

It’s work.
