Eeer something is not right defense + is too quiet. I checked the settings all looks fine to me.
Somebody help please. But defense plus is extremely quiet.
Already setting everything to safe mode.
clt works just fine though. Maybe it’s just me?
and I notice a weird chinese character application name which is put in the netwrok policy. I never put that there. I blocked it then I removed it from the list.
I hope it is a resent update… I lost my password settings + defense plus was not in proactive mode any more (I am 90% sure I installed it in proactive defense…) When I switch back to proactive defense I also noticed Comodo did not remember my startup programs, making the first startup a pain…
Thanks Flate. I’m a bit paranoid since I had just reinstalled my OS more than 5 times in the last month. But there is no recent update to the CIS program only AV database update. When I see the CIS version I see the same version number as before 3.8.65951.477 Virus database version 1093.
And Flate I notice that defense+ is now very quiet. For example I have this messenger program which always popping up defense+ alert when I loaded it into memory because I never allowed CIS to remember it, now the alerts are all gone. The app gets written automatically to the network policy list and even after I deleted that application network policy, the next time I started that messenger app again, it gets written back into the network policy causing me no defense+ alert.
Now I feel like CIS is playing witchcraft…
I’m running the CIS in Proactive and safe mode
Hey man do not worry about that is CIS is quiet and do not worry about version number of CIS…
CIS is more quiet now because developpers have put a big whitelist of applcations (1 milion or so) in to CIS and much less things are activated to monitor by CIS are selected… so CIS is better usable for novice users…
The version number is correct, version 3.9 is coming soon…
It’s far more likely to have been a bug in CIS than your settings being hacked. As for reinstalling your OS 5 times in a month :o why not just use disk imaging to save a copy of your perfectly working setup? There are good free options such as DriveimageXML or Macrium Reflect that’ll save you a whole lot of wasted time getting everything just right.
The firewalls white list was over 1 million when I started using cfp as soon as it was ready for vista (or all the reviews at last said so…)

I also noticed a program that had added itself, sadly I deleted it… and I just noticed it has re-added itself (seems to have somethinng with a sort of messenger to do, even I don’t use those messengers anymore…(paltalk.com)). Seems kind of strange…
Well as far as I know and believe COMODO CIS offers the best protection on a desktop PC and it comes at no price which is nothing short of incredible. I’m also aware that CIS is not going to change my PC into an online Fort Knox equivalent in part because I’m a novice.
