Multiple Instances of cavse.exe

The problem I’m having occurs when I first login to my computer. Everything starts up, but I’ve noticed that there are two "cavse.exe"s running. I manually terminate one cavse.exe (Ctrl+Alt+Del method), and the other runs just the same, and the program runs normally. I figured that if I had two instances of this program, I would have two CAVS icons in my system tray - this isn’t the case.

I don’t know if there is anything I should/could do to prevent this program from running twice, or if this is just a problem wit the beta still.

Thanks

Hello ericz120689

Welcome to the Comodo forum

This is normal for two cavse.exe’s to be running. I believe it is a safety factor in case one is taken out. Anyway it is there by design.

I can confirm this, though I’ve heard it’s due to efficiency. Perhaps security as well?

Alright, thanks. I wasn’t sure if there was something wrong with the way it was running, I’ve experienced programs that don’t normally have multiple executables have them - I figured that this was one of those instances.

Thanks for the help, and thanks for the welcome. =]
