more than one ice dragon running

Sometimes I am unable to open Ice Dragon because a pop up tells me that I am already running Ice Dragon.
I can find no other instance of ID running anywhere. Even Task Manager says nothing running.
Any Ideas ?

Hi and welcome bacahachi,
Just some things to individually try and see if the issue persists.

  1. Try disabling any 3rd party add-ons.
  2. Try disabling ‘Clear history when IceDragon closes’.
  3. In case of user profile corruption you could try resetting CID.
    Under help in the menu open the ‘Troubleshooting Information’.
    In the troubleshooting window you will see a ‘Reset IceDragon’ button.

Note: Some user preferences, settings, themes, add-ons etc will not be saved.
