More control in Application Monitor

I’ve used various firewalls over the years and I’m generally happy with Comodo Firewall, but it could use some finer controls. It doesn’t have to be like Kaspersky, but couldn’t you add stuff like smtp, fftp, etc. that are fairly common instead of just tcp and udp in app monitoring section? I think it would make it a much more usable and user friendly program.

Couldn’t you whitelist Comodo’s own products? Unless something happened to CAV and BOClean between install and start, CPF shouldn’t be alerting me that it doesn’t know them.

Hi jemsu

Welcome to the forums!

I too like this idea! But then again you have to think about the “not so a tech junkies” as well right. So if the developers can come up with a such system that would be great!

Couldn't you whitelist Comodo's own products? Unless something happened to CAV and BOClean between install and start, CPF shouldn't be alerting me that it doesn't know them.

version 3 has a very good whitelist from what I’ve heard. I did not try CAVS with CPF 3.0 alpha so don’t’ know how it’s functioning with the FW. But it surely would in the upcoming final release!
