Missing Active Connections & Active Process Lists RESOLVED

Using 1066 beta I have blank screens for these lists on 2 computers, one Win7 x64 and one Vista SP2 x32.

I don’t think I have seen anyone else posting these as bugs, so is it only me?

I downloaded separately to each computer so probably not a faulty install.

I had the exact same thing happen on WIN7/32 and Vista/32 and CIS 5 first beta.
The second beta fixed it for me.

I decided to uninstall, ran CSC to clean the registry. Then Ragwing’s script for any other leftovers.

With a fresh installation of 1066 the two windows are still blank so it must be a Windows7 x64 problem I think.

Do you see CIS working? for exmaple, do you see any alerts popups? It is weird to have this without CIS reportiong any errors.

Yes egemen, otherwise it seemed to be working fine apart from what I put in the bug thread.

I have reverted to 4.1 using a CTM snapshot and have deleted the v5 snapshots, so I cannot go back now. When the next beta comes I will check it out and let you know.

Its copming tomorrow.

:-TU

With 1079 I still have this problem. Plenty of alerts and Summary screen shows number of connections and apps running in the sandbox, traffic bars showing. Initial av update OK.

Unrecognised files already submitted, but nothing in the Submitted window.

Windows7 x64 no other security running UAC off Windows Firewall off.

Default install.

Can you please tell me what other applications are installed?

Rather a long list as a lot of items added by Toshiba, including games.

Edit: This list was generated by HijackThis and seems to be missing Mozy Backup which is in active processes (showing MSVCRT instead which seems to relate to it). MozBackup is for Mozilla and installed also.

When I said no active security, maybe I should have mentioned Winpatrol and Trusteer Rapport.

Well, with the third beta both windows are empty again.
This is a clean beta install(proactive), no other malware software running.
Yet CIS seems to be running properly.
Win7/32

I have just installed on a 32bit Acer Vista machine using similar software and this one now shows the windows correctly, whereas with 1066 the same were blank.

Hi James.

  1. with 1079 you see non-zero numbers for In\Out connections on Summary but when click on number you see empty connections tree in Active Connections Window?
  2. when you enable Sandbox and run some unknown application - does you see non-zero number “application(s) currently running in sandbox” on Summary? if you click this number - does you see empty grid in Active Processes Window?

The screenshots show these.

Thanks.
What if you check “Show Full Names” in right click menu? does grid filled?

Sorry I don’t see this option. If you mean right click on a file I see Scan with av or Run in Comodo Sandbox. What to right click for Show Full Names please?

I mean “Show Full Path” when you right click on Processes grid.

Oh I see, no the Active Process screen is blank and no response to right click on it.

does checking\unchecking “Show Sandboxed Only” help?

I don’t see that option anywhere, presumably because the screen is blank?
