Microsoft announces retiring of SHA-1

But isn’t Comodo looking up files against the cloud (Black/White lists) using the SHA-1 value ? :o

thanks to open a topic about it  Microsoft offers SHA-2 to use after retiring.

Would be interesting what COMODO and the CA/Browser forum have to say about this.

It’s RC4 that is really problematic today, not SHA-1. But any algorithm will sooner or later become too weak.
