When you get an alert from CIS you can check whether or not the application in question is digitally signed? Correct?

I have only found one personal firewall that have functionality for this.

This is really important, and very difficult to get right without being a a firewall expert. It is a great one for malware writers to exploit and we can be sure that they are doing that for a long time already.
