Maxivista blocked

I justed updated the Personal Comodo Firewall on my primary system to Version 2.3.4.45. I have a secondary system running the Windows XP built in firewall which has not been modified. The updated Comodo firewall is disabling the a viewer program I use called Maxivista ([url][http://www.maxivista.com//url]). The primary viewer program is able to establish contact with the secondary system (secondary icon turns yellow), but is unable to share the screen.

I have confirmed Comodo is the problem by turning it off. Maxivista operations are then restored. I have ensured that Maxivista is a trusted application and tried defining the specific Maxivista primary ports (5951 - 5953, http://www.maxivista.com/docs2/09/manual.htm#firewall) within Comodo. No luck.

I am running Maxivista 2.0.21 ext_A.

Any advise or suggestions?

Tomorow’s update may solve this type of issue. Lets see after tomorrow if the problem persists.

Here’s the solution provided by Comodo, which works:

Create a Network Monitor rule and move it to the first rule in in the Network Control Rules grid. The rule will have the following settings:

Action: Allow
Protocol: TCP
Direction: In
Source IP : (I used an IP range to cover dynamically assigned addresses within my subnet)
Destination IP: (I used an IP range to cover dynamically assigned addresses within my subnet)
Source Port: Any
Destination Port : Any

I tried limiting the source and destination ports to the range 5950 - 5953, but that didn’t work. I ended up leaving them at Any.
