I’m experiencing an problem with CIS. Trying to make full manual scan but it doesn’t finish. Also I pushed the Stop button but it doesn’t stopped the scan window. Than I made a force restart of Windows (window doesn’t consider as blocked process).
When everything turn ON, I saw the green shield in CIS, meaning that scan was done successfully! Should I think that everything gone fine?!
Any explanation for that behavior?
If the scan stalls then most likely cmdagent.exe, Comodo Internet Security Helper Service, has crashed.
You can start the service from the service manager (Control Panel → Administrative Tools → Services). You can also consider to let the service recover its self after crashes. That can be set in the Properties of the service under the Recovery tab.
This event is worth an official bug report. Please consider filing a bug report in the Bug Reports - CIS board following the format as described in FORMAT & GUIDE - just COPY/PASTE it!.
Also follow How to determine which file is causing a manual scan to hang to determine what file was causing the scanner to be hung. Please add this information to your bug report.
