I noticed on 5.0 under run a scan there are 3 options by default. My Computer, Critical Areas, an the Spyware Scan. My question is does CIS have 2 different scanning engines. One for virus and another for Spyware detection. That would be my first assumption seeing that it is listed as a separate scan or when I scan my computer does it include the spyware scan. I`m not 100% sure on this, maybe someone else can confirm my observations. It seems the Spyware scan just scans running processes and certain registry keys which are commonly used by spyware programs.
No different engine just scanning different things.
