Make Files in Subdirectories Trusted

Hello,

Thanks for a great security application!

I have DLL’s that are added in subfolders over time. I want to make all these trusted. I can’t use the “Include files from subfolders too” and the “Use file names instead of file hashes” options because I don’t know what the subfolder names are going to be.

C:\TheApp\Subfolder1\safe.dll
C:\TheApp\AnotherFolder\safe.dll
C:\TheApp\YetAnotherFolder\safe.dll

What would be perfect is a mechanism to allow me to set a pattern like this:

C:\TheApp*\safe.dll

Hi ftball, welcome to the forums.

You can do this. See Protected Files and Folders - Groups. If you create a Group, then you’ll be able to use that Group (with all the wildcards) in rules (both Firewall & D+).
