It would be nice if you could turn off the theme GUI and make comodo use normal native windows GUI.
It doesn’t matter how you make your theme/skin system, it will always slow down the program ( and eat more ram).
For me this theme GUI have many times takes a few seconds to load for example when a new alert window pop ups i can see how it loads every single bitmap i needs to display the alert window and i must say it is a pain in the ■■■■ >:( that you can’t turn off the theme GUI / skin system. :-TD
I don’t experience much if any UI lag, however, I still think this is a great idea. I’m tired of programs hijacking the look and feel I’ve designated for my computer. I have nightmares sometimes… of a day, when only windows and internet explorer seem to use the windows GUI.
Well I agree it should be optional but as far skins using all these resources…I have news for you windows is often the worst culprit. There’s always people who make this argument but if they want no GUI what are they doing with Wind0ze on there box in the first place. If a UI slows down your system that much then I’m sorry to say but you have a WEAK system ;D
