Make Columns Sortable for IP Addresses In The Individual Firewall Zones

1. What version of CIS, or Comodo Firewall, are you currently using:
CIS 7.0.313494.4115

2. What actually happened or you saw:
There is no possibility to manually reorder IP addresses rows in the Firewall Zones

3. What you wanted to happen or see:
The Firewall Zones should be able to be sorted by IP address (within each zone)

Example for Firewall sorted rows:
88.57.66.0-88.57.66.255
101.7.6.5
147.66.47.88

4. Why you think it is desirable:
When there are a large number of IP addresses in the Firewall Zones it is difficult to figure out whether a particular IP address is in the zone

5. Any other information:
In CIS 5 the Firewall IP rows in zones was moveable, although it was not sortable by IP address.

Thank you for submitting this wish. I made some modifications to your first post, and I think I may have misunderstood some parts. Thus, please look over your first post and make sure that everything is correct. If there are any errors let me know.

Also, can you please attach a screenshot to your first post showing this problem. This will be helpful.

If you have any questions let me know.

Thanks.

that everything is correct

All correct

can you please attach a screenshot

no idea how this can be illustrated with screenshots

Actually, upon thinking about this a little more, is this wish significantly different from the one here? If so, can you explain what is significantly different?

Thanks.

Hello

Difference in “HIPS rules” and “HIPS group folders”. if “HIPS rules” is a eqaul for “HIPS group folders” and “Firewall rules” is a equal for “Firewall zones” then there is a no difference.

I thought we are talking about different interface elements. And IP addresses will never be sortable in previous versions, but has been moveable in CIS 5.

Okay, in that case it’s probably worth creating a separate wish for this. I have once again edited your first post, including the title. Please look it over and let me know if it seems correct, or if there is anything you would like to change.

Thanks.

perhaps it will be clearer

  1. What you wanted to happen or see:

The folder rows of HIPS Group Folders and IP rows of Firewall Zones should be able to be sorted by alphabet and IP address or make manually moveable

Example for Firewall sorted rows:
88.57.66.0-88.57.66.255
101.7.6.5
147.66.47.88

Example for HIPS folder sorted rows:
C:\secure1
C:\windows\drivers\etc
D:\example1
E:\secure1

Okay, now I think I understand. I believe the other wish should cover the HIPS list. However, I think it’s helpful to create a wish for the Firewall Zones to sort by IP address.

I have once again edited your first post. Let me know what you think of the change.

Thanks.

Well

Thank you for submitting this Wish Request. I have now reset the poll and moved this to the WAITING AREA.

Please be sure to vote for your own wish, and for any other wishes you also support. It is also worthwhile to vote against wishes you think would be a waste of resources, as implementing those may slow down the wishes you would really like to see added.

Thanks again.

I’m writing this reply as a heads up. The rules for Wish Request processing state that a Wish cannot stay in this area for more than 6 months. Thus, there is less than a month’s time left for voting for this topic. Once it is September 10th I will move this topic to Rejected (unless it receives at least 15 points before the end of the voting period).

Thus, if you have not yet voted, one way or the other, about this Wish Request please do so ASAP.

Thank you.

I’m sorry, but as it has been 6 months since the Wish Request has been submitted, and it has not received the required 15 points, I am forced to move this Wish Request to Rejected. I hope you understand.

Please note that if you wish you are allowed to create a new Wish Request for this same wish as long as you wait at least 1 month since the time it was moved to Rejected. This only applies to Wish Requests which were moved to Rejected because they sat in the Waiting Area for 6 months without receiving the necessary 15 points and were moved to Rejected for that reason.

Thank you.

Please be aware that under new rules you are allowed to create a new Wish Request for this same wish as long as you wait at least 1 month since the time it was moved to Rejected. This only applies to Wish Requests which were moved to Rejected because they sat in the Waiting Area for 6 months without receiving the necessary 15 points and were thus moved to Rejected for that reason.

Thanks.
