Main interface doesn't appear

I installed CIS Premium 6, but now I can’t open main interface. There is only “widget”. I’ve tried to rightclick on notice icon or widget and chose “Open…” but nothing is happen. How can I configure my product?

Sorry for my weak English.

Is there a CIS icon in the tray? Also, what happens if you go through the Start Menu and try to open CIS through that?

Still nothing.

There is only CIS icon in the tray and the widget in upper right corner.

After instal there was “At risk” on the widget (and when mouse over — “virus database is not up-to-date”)
but after a few minutes change into “Needs Attention” (“not performed and initial scan yet”)
and now widget’s status is “Secure”.
I suppose that was autoupdate and autoscan. But any windows didn’t appeared. I haven’t control on this.

While installing I unchecked “Do NOT show message about security… blablabla…as possible”
but effect is opposite.

When you right-click on the CIS icon in the tray does it give you any options?

When click on “Open…” — zero reaction,
Also when swap antivirus, firewall or behavior blocker from “Enabled” to “Disabled” — no reaction and leave “Enabled”

Okay, it appears that something is definitely wrong. Please try reinstalling CIS by following the advice I give in this post. Also, uninstall any other security programs which is active in real-time.

Please let me know if reinstalling solves your problem.

Thanks.

I went through your advice 3 times, also manualy cleaned register. But problem is still.

Some key with “comodo” name couldn’t remove e.g. in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Enum\Root\LEGACY_INSPECT or LEGACY_CMDAGENT etc.

If cavwp.exe, cistray.exe and / or cis.exe are showing as running in Task Manager (or Killswitch [whatever you use to monitor running processes on your system]) then CIS is loading and running at your system start up. You could try and change your screen resolution to see if the GUI is located “outside the viewing window”.

As a special note: Legacy keys (in the registry) require special permissions to remove and do not harm your system to leave them in the registry. If all you find are Legacy keys then you can leave those and your system will be fine.

The legacy keys are hard to remove when using regedit.

To remove the socalled Legacy Keys, which are otherwise hard to remove, open Device Manager from the command prompt using the following two commands:
set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1
start devmgmt.msc

Set Device Manager to show hidden devices under menu option View. Then see if there are Comodo Internet Security related drivers left in non Plug and Play drivers. If so select the driver → click right → uninstall. Do this for all present Comodo drivers. Do a reboot when it has been requested.

Notice that when an a Legacy driver is ghosted (light grey) the driver is not running and that is not a problem for Windows. A driver that is active will be outlined with dark color. If you see the Comodo Internet Helper Service active then that may cause a problem installing a newer version.

I’ve encountered this problem several times, even on a clean system with a fresh install of CIS 6. In some cases the UI will open after some indeterminate period of time, in others, it takes a reboot. From what I’ve seen, there’s nothing untoward happening in the background, there are no services consuming vast amounts of resources and no conflicts between disparate security products.

Thank You for answers.

I came back to v.5.12. I heard that will be able to update through GUI at the end of january.
