Mabezat , sality and others ... can CIS heal the programs ... ?

Hello folks … how are you I hope you are doing just fine … I’m new here and I have some questions about CIS and I hope I can find the answers … recently one of my colleagues called me to assist him remove some viruses in his computer … since he doesn’t have any installed AV in his computer I couldn’t determine the type of malware whether it’s a trojan or worm …etc … so I installed nod32 and I came up with a couple of worms …However the problem came up when I tried to heal some files which have been infected with these worms such as ( iexplore.exe and explorer.exe ) it tells me to remove the threat or move it to the vault or whatever they call it … of course what I did is simply uninstalling nod32 … i downloaded the DrWeb cure it … and it did the job … so here is my question … can CIS heal , explorer and iexplore for example , if they are infected with worm … or he will have to either quarantine or remove the threat … because I think remove means delete here since I don’t see any option to heal or fix or whatever … ???

I’m sorry for the long story … but it happens to me a lot so I decide to see if the CIS can do what DrWeb did …

regards … and thank you in advance

Nope CIS v3.11 cant do that, CIS v4 will be able to do that. (out 2010) ;D

i would suggest to keep DrWeb Cureit (besides it is portable app) even if CIS v4 will be able to do that.

DrWeb cured a lot of system and legitimate program’s files on different machines for me.

thanks again man ;D …

so with this ability CIS will be the tool not just for preventing but also for healing … awesome O0

Please bear in mind that it is not always possible to heal an infected application. Depending on the nature of the infection, remove or quarantine may be the only available options.

Comodo Time Machine, once publicly released, may be the answer you’re looking for.
