LSASS.EXE and SERVICES.EXE Shutdown after installing CF Jun-9-2010 Release

Hello everyone.

Today I downloaded the CF version released yesterday June 9th. Installation went smooth and then I rebooted and started working. Suddenly everything closes and a small window appears telling me:

The system is shutting down. Please save all work in progress and log off. Any unsaved changes will be lost.
This shutdown was initiated by NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM. The system process C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\SERVICES.EXE terminated unexpectedly with status code 128.

60 seconds later, the pc is shut down.

When rebooting and trying to get to the control panel, the same window appeared but with LSASS.EXE instead of SERVICES.EXE.

The only thing that I did was installing CF4.

I managed to run msconfig from the “Run” Window and disable the Comodo service and the “cfp” entry on Startup. This didn’t work.

Finally, I started with the “last known good configuration” option at Windows Startup and that let me uninstall CF4, now the pc works without a problem.

Do you know what happened to my pc? I’m going back to version 3.14 until this get fixed.

My pc is running Windows XP x64 SP2.
