Lost connection

Hello

I have comodo firewall installed in a computer with win xp and antivirus kaspersky v6

I made the standard installation but if I am some time without working in the PC I lose my Internet connection!

If I will be always to work in the PC I keep Internet connection without problems but if I am +/- 30 minutes without handling, I lose the linking.

Somebody knows reason?

Hi,

How do you connect to internet, via ADSL or local LAN or …Dialup?

Please check the logs and see if there are any weired entries,

Hi Max,
Hope you had an great day. Well when you leave your system idle for more than 30 minutes what the CPF does is that it automaticallys moves in to the emergency mode and blocks the IP protocol.Due to this reason you are disconnected from your internet connection.

KAspersky 6 has its firewall. Make sure it is disabled. KAspersky anti-hacker. It may be a cause. But check your logs to see what CPF blocked. It may have raised a popup you may have missed.

Comodo goes to emergancy mode after 30 min, ■■■■, how do you disable that?

We are on dialup and that would give me the S**ts not to mention Broadband users who are always online.

No it does not go into that state. Please check your logs abd paste us to see why this is happening

I had the same issue, it was a setting in windows that would kill the connection after 20 or 30 minuetes or whatever was set. This was dependent on keyboard and mouse activity, not internet connection activity.

This was after a fresh install. Took a while to narrow it down as the main computer was fairly heavily used.

I connect directly to INternet via Cable modem.
Kaspersky V6 is my antivirus.
I have no other firewall.
I have a second pc who connects to internet via my pc.

I repaired that appear many acknowledgments about svchost… Can I make “allow” in all they?

Maybe when i’m away from my pc, a popup with svchost.exe could appear and because i’m away the CPF shutdown my internet connection… Is this possible?

I had the same problem. I switched to the beta and it works fine now.

You can allow all activities for svchost.exe. And yes it would show something while you are away. But if this is a case, you should see this in your logs.

Svchost.exe should not be permanently blocked.

I have exactly the same problem- also using kaspersky and also using adsl usb modem…and also loosing connection after 20-30min…anybody please help…thanks in advance

Same problem here.after 20 mins or so I lose connection and the only cure is a reboot. (:AGY)

Any Comodo expert out there helping us out with this connection problem ? It is really getting annoying.Is there anything we can do short of uninstalling the Fw ?

Can you show us the logs? Right click in the logs, save as html, and attach or cut&paste it here.
