Thank you very much for your issue report.

We would very much appreciate it if you would be kind enough to edit your report to put it in the standard format and add any additional information requested, as this will make it much easier for the developers to diagnose and fix the problem.

The reasons we need all the information in the format, though they may not seem directly relevant to the issue are explained here.

If you are able to do this we will forward this post to the format verified board, where it is more likely to get looked at by developers. You can find assistance using red links in the format and here. If you need further help please ask a mod. If you do not add the information after a day or two we will forward this post to the non-format board. If this happens we will tell you how to rectify this if you wish to.

In the current process we will normally leave it up to you whether you want to make a report in standard format or not. However we may remind you if we think a bug of particular importance.

Many thanks again

Thanks very much for your issue report, and trying to put it in standard format, which is much appreciated.

Unfortuantely devs find it difficult to read bugs which have no promts, so I would be grateful of you use the full format complete with prompts.

It may look difficult but actually it’s really easy to do just follow the instructions here. That is copy between the dotted lines, and paste into a topic, then enter your information after the colons.

I would also be grateful if you would check to ensure you have answered all the questions including all sub-parts, and appended all requested attahments. You will find that the concepts are explained in red links in the format.

Best wishes and many thanks in anticipation

Mouse

Just to chheck are you looking up or submitting the file when this happens?

ioannis210, I hope you don’t mind, but I edited your first post so it was in the proper format, with prompts.

Could you please answer the answer mouse1 asked? Also, can you check and see if perhaps there is a similarity between the files which cannot be uploaded? Perhaps, do you find that all files can be uploaded correctly if they are below a certain file size, but above a certain file size they all fail?

I have sent a PM reminder.

Unfortunately despite the formatted report we don’t really have enough information here for a bug report, or even to track it, so regrettably I’ll have forward to non-format.

Just to confirm what information is needed to move to format verified:

  • your Watch Activity active process list
  • your CIS diagnostics file
  • indication of what function you were using when the failure occurred (lookup or submit?)
  • the file you were uploading (please append a link to a cloud copy or at least give file size)
  • an answer to Chiron’s question re whether there was any pattern to the upload failures

Best wishes

Mouse

Thanks very much for your issue report, which is much appreciated.

We have moved it to the non-format bugs board for the moment, because it is not in the standard format or too much of the information we normally need to replicate a problem and fix it is still missing.

We realize some people may not have the time to do an issue report in standard format, and therefore offer the option of a non-format report instead. But the problem is much more likely to be fixed promptly if you edit your first post to create an issue report which reflects the guidance in the Standard Format topic. (You can copy and paste the format from this topic). The reasons we ask for the information we do are given in this post.

You can get your report moved to the format verified issues board simply by ensuring that it reflects the guidance in the standard format topic, and PM’ing a mod who is active on the bug board.

Best wishes

Mouse

I was trying to upload some files but it said there is a limit on them

Just so you are aware, the devs generally do not look at bug reports in this section of the forum. Thus, if you want this issue to be resolved please edit your first post to include the information which Mouse1 requested.

Once you have done this please send me a PM, with a link to this report, and ask for it to be moved out of this section.

Thank you.

Can you please check and see if this is fixed with the newest version (version 6.2.282872.2847)? Please let us know whether it is fixed or you are still experiencing the problem.

Also, note that all bug reports in the Non-Format section of the forum, which is where this report currently is, are not looked at by the devs. Thus, if the bug you were experiencing is still not fixed please edit your first post so that it is in the correct format (found here, with all required attachments, so I can forward this to the devs and get this problem fixed.

Thank you. PM sent.

I believe it is likely intended that there is a limit for the size of files which are allowed to be uploaded. Thus, I will move this to Resolved.

Please let me know if you disagree, or if the files in question were actually quite small.

Thank you.

The ERROR changed to 0x8007002 it appears on submition

I will move this back to the bug reporting section so we can discuss this.

Can you please let me know the file size of the files for which this error appears? We need to figure out if this is intended behavior or evidence of a bug.

I have already submitted this.
To Chiron : Bug 471

Thank you for directing me to that report.

@ spywar, can you please create a formatted report in this bug report so I can move this to format verified. That will greatly help with the organization and make it easier for forum members to see what has been submitted.

Thanks.

PM sent.

I modified your report so that it is in the correct format. Please let me know if anything is incorrect and I will fix it.

Thank you very much for your report in standard format, with all information supplied. The care you have taken is much appreciated by Comodo, and will increase the likelihood that this bug can be fixed.

Developers may or may not communicate with you in the forum or by PM/IM, depending on time availability and need. Because you have supplied complete information they may be able to replicate and fix the bug without doing so.

Many thanks again.
