hi,
i am using CIS 2011 in proactive mode, win 7 ultimate and also using MBAM. firewall is set to alert me to incoming connections. i needed to configure my router but can’t access my router @192.168.1.1.
while i was using avast i needed to turn off avast to get access to router. i tried the same with CIS 2011 but to no avail.i tried it in safe mode with networking but failed too. i tried firewall disabled even then no success.
please help… i need to reconfigure my router immediately
I presume when you say safe mode with networking you mean Safe mode (F8) if yes.
CIS is not active in this computer mode, so it is not CIS that is stopping you accessing your router.

ok…thanks…ill try to reset my router then…ill report if that is successful
You sure 192.168.1.1 is your router’s IP address? Sounds to me that is your PC IP address.
Do ipconfig /all from the cmd prompt and verify your gateway address. That is your router’s address.
C:\Documents and Settings\Don>ipconfig /all
