"LaunchPad" launching a folder each login

Following installation of Comodo Personal Firewall, the component “LaunchPad” launches a folder, C:\Program Files\Comodo, each and every startup and login. The folder appears on the desktop of each user, a normal Explorer window with a single folder, LaunchPad, within.

Is this a feature? How do I turn it off?

Also, if I have and want only CPF, exactly what is the function of “LaunchPad” except a show window for other Comodo products? If I turn off “LaunchPad” in the registry startup group, the folder launching problem stops, but then the firewall is also emasculated.

Which verion of CPF r u using? No its not a feature. It should be a bug.

Check this topic https://forums.comodo.com/index.php/topic,201.0.html. It’s all about this very issue.

I have version 2.2.0.11 of the Personal Firewall running. Yes, it seems like a bug to me, too. This is the third instance of its happening on three different (Windows XP SP2) machines.

Each time I have chosen to install the firewall to C:\Program Files\Comodo Firewall rather than the default location.

Kail, thanks for the link. Looking forward to the option to disable Launch Pad.

Time is ticking for this firewall - I’m fed-up of closing the folder which opens each logon and can find no way around it. Hard to believe I’m the only one with this problem, as it has appeared on three separate machines now.

Kerio, anyone?
