Am I wrong? If I install only the Comodo FW without the AV part, I would not be able to run a virtualized browser in Comodo and surf in it? ???
Comodo firewall is just CIS with the AV component removed. Thus, the FV sandbox operates exactly the same.
I think that until CIS reaches these goals I’ll stick with AVIRA FREE AV:
-CIS needs better signature dedection ability.
-join Av-comparatives Test.
-CIS needs faster white files response speed. And sometimes white files(verified by CIS forum white list team) doesnt show as white on CIS.
-General stability. They are fixing about 300bug every version and the new update coming with another 300bug fix.
-I like Avast’s autosandbox analyser, Maybe they can add their own client side sandbox analysis
-compatability impromevents, Truster rapport example. When i use tr with cis, virtualized browser’s green border disappear
-They can add exploid protection, like Kaspersky, Panda, Malwarebytes,…
-They can add keystroke encryption like zemana free, Spyshelter, Keyscramber…
-More flexible sandbox option like Sandboxie.
-They can add bitdefender safepay like banking module (There are virtual kiosk but i think they are different concept) - from Maymoons post # 17 /Wilder’s Security forum
I anyway can’t run Google chrome or start it in Comodo Sandbox. I tried to put it FV, it won’t start either. It only says virtKiosk.exe is fully virtualized. ???
The manual sandbox is also fully virtualized.
It is pretty good these days.
-join Av-comparatives Test.Detection brings only but so much protection. When I started using CIS 3.5 it had detection rates that were depressing. However I never infected...

-General stability. They are fixing about 300bug every version and the new update coming with another 300bug fix.A noticeable number of those bugs are minor ones like fixing inaccuracies in the Help files or UI. Not all of them are spectacular. However progress has been made.

When i use tr with cis, virtualized browser's green border disappearI think local behaviour analyser is still on the road map. Concerning Trusteer rapport. If I recall correctly it virutalises your browser. Having two security solutions of the same kind working at the same time is not recommended.
-They can add exploid protection, like Kaspersky, Panda, Malwarebytes,...Ahuummm: CIS has the detection of shellcode (buffer overflow) protection since v3.x. Shellcoe/BO detection is one of the cooler tricks it has up its sleeve.

-They can add bitdefender safepay like banking module (There are virtual kiosk but i think they are different concept) - from Maymoons post # 17 /Wilder's Security forumI am not going through every 17th post at any forum including this forum. Please be more specific about your wish and what you are comparing it with

Trusteer Rapport is for secure online banking, nothing to do with FV sandbox. It now can run in the sandbox, unlike sandboxie which does not permit it. For BD Safepay, a feature like Avast’Safezone, it’s for online transaction and banking too. Having users other choices, I think Comodo should concentrate its ressources elsewhere (like in Behavior blocking aspect) ! I finally reinstalled FW along Dragon and though dragon didn’t installed well I now can run Chrome in Comodo Sandbox without the AV part and test it. Trusteer is still interfering with the green border in Comodo sandbox!
N.B.: Dragon will install perfectly well from its own specific setup installer not the CIS one (a pity to me…!)
