Kernel Module

Hi Guys

just installed CAV on linux mint 13 maya . get the following error The kernel module redirts.ko appropriate for your kernel version does not exist
Anyone have any ideas as to how to fix it

Regards Paul

Apparently Linux Mint has some problem(s)
https://forums.comodo.com/comodo-antivirus-for-linux-cavl/comodo-antivirus-for-linux-cavl-v102398181-is-formally-released-t85030.0.html;msg617986#msg617986

(Maybe you should switch to (K)Ubuntu ;D )

EDIT: Maybe you should compile kernel and modules to get appropriate redirts.ko module?

Thanx for quick reply .love mint to much to defect try other av to see if they work thanx again
Regards Paul

Have you installed kernel source (and possibly some other too) for compiling the module?
btw. is it redirts.ko or redirfs.ko? (redirfs info is at redirfs.org )

I have had the same problem on kubuntu 12.04 x64.
To fix it I have run in console:

  1. sudo apt-get install build-essential kernel-package libncurses-dev
  2. sudo /opt/COMODO/post_setup.sh
  3. sudo /etc/init.d/cmdavd restart
Then I ran diagnostics and it corrected issue.

I also have had the same problem on Kubuntu 12.04 64bit and I gave in consol The command in step 1 ok, but the command in step 2 the terminal gave me back this error : “bash: sudo/opt/COMODO/post_setup.sh: File o directory does not exist” ??? ???

I’m sorry I was wrong to type the command.
hello ;D

Hi,
attention: every time there is a kernel update the above procedure must be repeated for all active modules.
bye
