I just installed CIS on a new Win 8.1 machine.
I am getting very few alerts and am surprised at that. Are the default settings “strong enough?”
default settings are strong enough to keep you safe. they are tailored to get the least amount of popups while still keeping you safe but if you want more control you setup up CIS by the advice given by my colleague Chrion:
