Java IP Test

Hi…yep, I’m a newbie…

Just tried the test here: http://www.proxyblind.org/javaipp.shtml which successfully told me my LAN side IP. I was surprised at that - I’ve been Beta testing ESS (Eset Smart Security) which successfully blocked this test. Due to a few other ‘issues’ with ESS, thought I’d try Comodo plus my exisitng AV - NOD32. Leaktesting seems good, but can anyone help with comments on the IP Test?

I’m not sure i follow you there, but i’ll try. Maybe ESS blocks scripts, cookies et al?
In any case, no, Comodo does not do that. If you use Firefox, get NoScript extension and you will pass.
This is browser related, not firewall related. That suite probably handles this, but it is not the firewall.
