Is there a Non-GUI way to control the firewall settings and such?

Fairly often, I have to change the firewall settings and configurations and run purges and so forth, but this is tiresome and error prone. It would be great if there were some way of doing this without using the GUI, such as by sending a command line to cis.exe or communicating in some other way. Can this be done?

I could write an AutoIt script that will use the GUI, brute-force, to make these changes, but I see that cis.exe accepts a command line and options. Is there any other way of communicating with the firewall?

I will be using firewall version 10 under 64-bit Windows 7 and 10 Pro.

Thanks.

As I do understand this, you don’t want to change some settings. I saved different settings and “stored” them in advanced settings, then General settings so I can choose between them, i.e. for strong security or sometimes a weaker one if I need it.
