Is comodo making it easier to access child pornography?

In some countries including mine a dns filter is used to block websites with child ■■■■■■■■■■■, when installing cis an option is given to change dns to comodo secure dns.

So tell me, is comodo making it easier to access child ■■■■■■■■■■■ or does comodo secure dns block these kind of websites?

Yes i know its very easy to change dns and thus a dns filter is pretty much useless against anyone with a tiny amount of google-fu and computer knowledge but still, making a stand shows its not ok.

Comodo web page on Secure DNS does not particularly mention it:

As a leading provider of computer security solutions, Comodo is keenly aware of the dangers that plague the Internet today. SecureDNS helps users keep safe online with its malware domain filtering feature. SecureDNS references a real-time block list (RBL) of harmful websites (i.e. phishing sites, malware sites, spyware sites, and parked domains that may contain excessive advertising including pop-up and/or pop-under advertisements, etc.) and will warn you whenever you attempt to access a site containing potentially threatening content.

I think you’ve answered your own question. DNS is not a security feature and never was, in fact it’s recognised as one of the more easily exploitable security problems in the way the Internet works. You also rightly point out that it’s generally up to the user to choose which DNS servers to use, so “protecting” users from undesirable websites can never be properly or completely done via DNS.

Since you clearly understand all that I fail to see the point of your post, it is inflammatory, provocative and unwarranted. It is, in fact, a troll.
