Intrusion Alerts + uTorrent

Why?

I was about to ask the same question. Hopefully someone will post a global rule for uTorrent. The problem is that there’re request pockets sent to your uTorrent client although you’re not downloading. For example Outpost firewall will say packets to closed port on the contrary ZoneAlarm needs to have a rule in internet zone to pass those packets and not to flood logging.

Try this

Use Network Security Policy/Global Rules in Firewall/Advanced

I’ve got the same thing, but 10790 of them, I think they’re just packets being blocked coz the torrent client is shut.

As far as a global rule, I use these, but for azureus, and get the green smiley.

1.allow tcp or udp IN from ip ANY to ip ANY where the source port is ANY and the destination port is )
2.allow tcp or udp OUT from ip ANY to ip ANY where the source port is and the destination port is ANY)
