Internet Explorer doesn't work any more

Hello

I have Windows XP pro SP3. When I launch Internet Explorer 8, I get an error message telling me that the last session terminated incorrectly.

I have the choice between :

  • restore last session
  • go to Home page.

Both choices don’t work. IE8 is launched ( in process list I have iexplorer.exe ) but the window doesn’t appear.
If if deactivate Defense+, all is OK.

Can someone tell me where the problems come from and how to fix it ?

You can start by deleting the rule for IE in D+; when IE starts again it will make new rules. To do so go to Defense + → Advanced → Computer Security Policy.

Does that fix it?

Hello

I needed to update Windows, and because Windows Update only works with IE, I’ve removed and installed Comodo Internet Security.

Now all is OK ; IE8 works fine.
