Installed aple quicktime viewer and got porn

I had just installed Aple Quicktime viewer so I said ok to several things including accessing the Internet, when I ran a download that turned out to open ie and show porn Sites. How do I reconfigure the options for quictime to prevent allowing this type of activity in the future.

I previously used zone alarm and could go into programs and easily modify permissions.

Does Comodo have such a feature and how do I access it.

Thank you.

Welcome to the forums :slight_smile:
You probably have some form of Adaware\Spyware

Comodo - > Defense+ → Active proccess list. Rightclick;Terminate anything that is nasty.
Put D+ in Safe mode.

Check your computer security policy.
Comodo - > Defense+ → Advanced → Network security Policy. ;; And delete/modify any entries for programs you don’t trust.

Check your Firewall policy;
Comodo → Firewall → Advanced ->Network Security Policy ;; And delete\Modify entries for programs you don’t trust

You should download Susper AntiSpyware and Malwarebytes and run a full scan with those.

Kyle, you use Super AntiSpyware. Did you get nabbed by the signature bug last week?
ie. Have to re-install Windows?

Have a look under Defence+/Advanced/Computer Security Policy/Highlight the entry for the desired application/.exe(in this case Quicktime) then click “Edit”/Now click on “Access Rights”.
You will now get a new window with the various rules which can be used.Try clicking “Modify” next to “Run an executable” and you will see allowed and blocked applications.Here you can select blocked applications and then use the “Add” function to select what applications you wan`t blocked.
I.E. you would add internet explorer to the blocked list for Quicktime,or you could just remove any entries from allowed and you should recieve a pop up if it tries again.
