Install/Uninstall Issue[Resolved]

When you attempted to uninstall BOClean the first time, did you first shut BOClean down using the “Shut down BOClean” button?

I believe so but now I’m not sure

Open “System Information” to see if the “BOClean Kernel Monitor” is still installed.
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Information

yes it is still there

Look above at my earlier post, (number 20) and you will see where I attached the CBO_Setup_4.25.zip.
Click on that and save it somewhere that you can find it.
Unzip the file and attempt to install it again.
It will throw errors at you but go ahead and ignore them for now.
We are going to attempt a “bad” install in order to get a good uninstall. :wink:

yes tried that and it won’t install do i press cancel and if so what next?

No, continue with the install.
After you complete our “bad install” go ahead and re-boot you computer.
Look to see if the BOClean icon is loaded in your task tray.
If it is, right click on it to bring the user interface to the surface and then click the “Shut down BOClean” button.
Next, uninstall as usual, re-boot for good measure and look to see if the BOClean kernel monitor is still showing.
If it’s gone you may go ahead and do a fresh install.

I have to step out for an hour, I’ll be back.

That’s my problem though it won’t install it says failiure while copying boc4upd.exe and no matter what I do I cannot get it to install

Ok, can you get into safe mode?
To start the computer in safe mode:

After you’re in safe mode, open Windows Explorer and go to:
C:\Program Files\Comodo\CBOClean
and delete the entire folder and it’s contents.
Now, while still in safe mode, attempt the install.
If all goes well, re-boot.
