Just a quick comment that I have been seeing numerous install issues over the last few releases of the software. To note, I am running Win XP SP 3. I have seen:
When launching an installer with Comodo running, the installer asks if you want to uninstall first and then disappears. The only way I have been able to upgrade is to manually uninstall each version.
When you uninstall, even for an upgrade, your browser is launched to the “Sorry to see you go web page.” That’s annoying, especially when all I am trying to do is upgrade.
After the install (and a restart), the virus database needs to be updated. So I click to update the database. Then I am asked to restart again. Once booted, the database is NOT updated. I have to update again, and this time it sticks, without having to reboot.
The file I downloaded and installed was named CIS_Setup_3.13.125662.579_XP_Vista_x32.exe, but now when I check “About” I see 3.13.126709.581.
Any idea what’s going on here? This used to be a much simpler (and reliable) program to use!
