In comodo v3.9 do I get…

  1. …BO Clean even if I do not install antivirus?

  2. …to import my current( v3.8 ) settings to the new( v3.9 ) version without any issue, that is if I do a clean installation?

1, Boclean is part of the AV part. So in order to have Boclean protection you need to use the AV. Notice that Boclean will not get any more updates after May 26.

  1. There are some changes to default policies that according to the devs make it worthwhile to do a clean install. You can import the rules though. Make sure to update the program to the latest incarnation (509). This is because the AV update path is now in the binaries and not in the registry anymore. When importing the rules of 3.8 you would also import the old and no longer valid, update path in the registry.
