Scenario:

Recommended Troubleshooting steps:
I. Check your Windows Update settings, follow the steps below:

Your user login must have Admin permissions, or Administrator access rights.

Open Services.msc
a. Windows key (you may refer to this inmage: http://safe.mn/Uw-V) + R, the Run dialog box will open, type “Services.msc”, click on OK.
b. If you’re prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. -
Find the Windows Update service, right-click on it, and select Properties.
a. By Default the Names Column is sorted alphabetically, from A-Z.
b. If it is not, you may sort the Names column, by clicking on it. -
On the General tab, next to Startup type, make sure that Automatic is selected.

Next to Service status, check to see if the service is started. If it is not, click Start. Administrator permission required If you’re prompted for an admin password or the User Account Control is asking for confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
