Yes I’m back onto Comodo Firewall (PS) FW/D+ again and I’ve noticed Outpost Firewall Pro v7.1 was getting a bit harder to control the outbound and inbound traffic during the settings, I find Comodo FW is a lot easier to control the outbound and inbound traffic and I’m no longer using sandbox.
And I hope this won’t ■■■■■ up my PC again and I will try and be nice to Comodo IF I get all the help I need before my PC get ■■■■■■■, so far everything seem to be okay.
Need advice from the Global Mod. how can I make sure that I have my Comodo settings correctly so it won’t ■■■■■ my PC again, and how do I get rid of the TVL because it driving me nuts.
Welcome back, speedy! (:WIN)
I’m no moderator, (wish I was, though) but going into computer security policy in the defence+ settings and removing each individual one is a way to go, though I don’t think you can select more than one at a time. That’s why people get annoyed when CIS redownloads the TVL on updates.
It’s nice to have you back. If I were you I would download and install CTM 2.9b and create a snapshot to ensure myself that I can return to a time when everything worked as it should.
CTM 2.9b is good and stable. Make sure to have all option in program settings unmarked. I have it on my host pc and everything works super!
if you see that something is not working as it should then put then in exclusions ( if I remember right you had problems with your graphic cards, and the sound card)
Well, since you never gave enough data on what happened to your computer the first time, we can’t possibly tell you specifically what not to do. Any of the default settings won’t harm your computer.
My only suggestion would be to not delete any possible malware files without checking them out first in case they are false positives.
As for the TVL, currently your option is to delete vendors manually. While I agree that there should be more user control over the TVL, (I even made a wishlist post way back in version 3) I think that people are blowing it a bit out of proportion. I don’t believe any actual dangerous stuff has been on the list. The issues have been more along the lines of adware or rogue type offenses of applications that the vendor has changed at some point after it was added to the list.
I don’t wanna talk about outpost that much in here because it’s not the right place to do so , but when I gave it a try , I really found it hard to control the outbound connections , it’s not as sophisticated as comodo… by which u can define whatever u want in however u like
good to see you coming back < I didn’t kiss you goodbye because i was sure that you will be coming back sooner or later mate

if Outpost is better than CF in an aspect then it is
A good man always comes home sometime. Welcome home Speedy, nice to see you back.
Lets hope future releases have more options in the TVL. Kind regards.
