Why much of comodo products phone-home: Routine DNS logs get the following dotcom addresses. Some of the packets are encrypted.

I doubt if I have to point out any google only connections right? So what gives Comodo Devs? Is the software free? Or is it a diluted free? Security/Privacy based software should never phone-home. Not ever!!!

I think you may want to re-read the manual to figure out what the settings actually do, otherwise 1999 called, they want their security plan back.
Ummm, yes, but the traffic occurred “after” I had turned those settings off. Seemed it only happens once, when you first start up a connection. Still not a good thing to me.
And yes, I’m glad 1999 still calls me. By the way, do you recall some people back in 2004 who claimed the NSA was broadly spying on people in the USA? What were they called? I think lisence check cannot be disabled from the UI as far as I know. The rest of the mentioned functions can be disabled. If they occur, even if it is only once when you start a connection, I would call that a bug and I would ask you to consider filing a bug report in the Bug Reports - CIS board following the format as described in FORMAT & GUIDE - just COPY/PASTE it!.
Reporting of bugs is strictly moderated to make sure Comodo gets clear bug reports. So, please make sure you closely follow protocol. That way your report will certainly be seen by Comodo staff.
Other than that. CIS on the other hand empowers you to stop that traffic. CIS is a very versatile and powerful tool.
