IceDragon won't load

I have been using IceDragon to play FV2 for a couple months and I love it! It runs much faster and smoother than any other browser I have tried. Weirdly, another game I play runs slow on it. Anyways, my problem is that it suddenly stopped loading a couple weeks ago. It will load once in a while but 99% of the time it won’t. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, rebooting, deleting the parent.lock file (which I read about on another thread) to no avail. I did take Firefox off the computer at one point because it was giving me a lot of problems with ads etc. I’m not sure if it has to be on the computer for IceDragon to work or not.

If it is pertinent, I am running Windows 7 on a laptop.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi and welcome margaretm,
IceDragon does not rely on Firefox, it is totally independent.

Re-installing CID doesn’t replace the user profile by default.
In case of user profile corruption I would try resetting CID.
Under help in the menu open the ‘Troubleshooting Information’.
In the troubleshooting window you will see a ‘Reset IceDragon’ button.

Note: Some user preferences, settings, themes, add-ons etc will not be saved.
